You can play without creating an account. A private, first-party cookie lets this browser return to its saved visits, encore votes, bingo photos, and hotel-machine history. Other players see only a generated travel alias when you choose to participate.

Photo bingo

Photos are resized and re-encoded in your browser before uploading. Your photos can be retrieved through your browser’s private guestbook session; they are not shown in a public gallery. Anyone using the same browser profile can access its saved guestbook. A generated alias, count, and score appear on the leaderboard only if you join. You can leave the leaderboard and remove current-week photos from their squares. Photos are not automatically verified for the bingo prompt, and they do not carry permission for editorial publication.

The Writing Desk

Drafts are stored in this browser until submitted. Submitted pieces, bylines, optional email addresses, and publication-permission records are saved privately for editorial review. You can withdraw pending submissions from the Writing Desk. HAP does not publish submissions automatically.

The Reader’s Fridge

A submitted magnet poem appears in the gallery under your generated travel alias only after you grant gallery permission. Optional newsletter publication permission is recorded separately. One ballot per browser may be changed until the monthly deadline. Entries can be withdrawn while the round is open, but cannot be replaced.

Game activity

We count browser sessions, page views, game completions, shares, review-link clicks, and sponsor interactions to understand what readers enjoy. A session ends after 30 minutes of inactivity. Analytics uses a random browser identifier, not your name, email, IP address, precise location, or browser fingerprint. Browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals turn off session and interaction analytics. Encore votes help decide what returns. Reports contain aggregate counts; your photos and writing are not included.

Playing without an account

Your guestbook cookie lasts up to a year. Device copies do not follow you to another browser. Clearing cookies can remove your access to saved photos and submissions, so withdraw pending writing and remove any photos you want removed first. No prize is currently offered.
